Step 3 is complete! After 24 hours, you can take the turkey out of the brine and rinse it as thorough as possible.
Sorry the picture is out of focus. My dad ignored me when I asked him to stop turning the turkey so I could get a shot 😦
After the turkey is patted dry, cover it with a plastic grocery bag or some sort of bag big enough to cover the turkey. When it’s covered, stick it back into the fridge to allow it to dry and “breathe” for the night.
I’m keeping the brine just in case. You don’t have to if you’ve made turkeys before. Step 4 coming tomorrow! 🙂 Stay tuned
