Project Give: Baking For Veterans (Orange Creamsicle Cookies)

I had a flashback to my childhood days when I was baking at my friends house. The ice cream truck came by and I had to get a half and half bar. Also known as a orange creamsicle or 50/50 bar. I was told to bake cookies by the vets so I decided to make orange creamsicle cookies. I saw the recipe on The Girl Who Eats Everything blog and they loved really good. A cookie that taste like a half and half bar is delish.

I attempted to make a ice cream sandwich but I put too much ice cream and ate it with a spoon.

I love how you can see flecks of orange zest and the creamy white chocolate chips. They’re so yummy! šŸ™‚

I had mine with Tillamook ice cream. It’s one of my two favorite ice cream brands, the other being Haagen Dazs.

The vets loved the cookies. Some of them ate several cookies and some took several home. I thought it was hilarious. I also brought in cuties for the ones who don’t eat sweets or can’t eat sweets. They were gobbled up as well. Overall, today was very successful! I got to do escorts today which was awesome. I got a lot of exercise and it felt great. I didn’t have to sit in a chair for four hours straight. That’s all for now.

Fail Sweetly,
Justina
