TFSP: Valentine’s Day Spa Package Giveaway for MilSpouses!

I have to admit..I’ve been a pretty bad blogger in terms of reading up on blogs and writing blog posts. I saw a picture that caught my eye when I was reading Kara’s blog. It was a spouse box filled with goodies for $29.95 a month. I looked at some of the links AND I found my new obsession. Udderly Natural Handcrafted body products. As in everything I’ve wanted in a spa package. AND there are a ton of different flavors and scents to choose from.

Here are the following items included in this giveaway..
5oz sugar scrub
2oz bath bomb
2oz goat milk lotion
1 goat milk soap bar
1 lip balm

The winner of this giveaway will have the chance to choose any flavors and scents of all the items listed above. Not a bad way to pamper yourself if I do say so myself.

To enter the giveaway..
– You must be a military spouse at some point (veteran/wounded warrior spouses count)
– Write a active blog (2 blog posts per month)
– Live in the U.S. (giveaways only ship in the U.S.)
– Enter through this link,here

The winner will be contacted through email and through my social media accounts. Winner will have three days to respond to my email from the day the email was sent or another winner will be chosen. I hope you ladies enjoy! 🙂

And for those that are curious, I’m hosting this giveaway early because I want the winner to be able to use the items by Valentine’s Day. Sometimes things take a while. Have a good one 🙂

Military Spouse Appreciation Day Giveaway

Well it’s no secret I’m pretty involved when it comes to giving to others in the military or military family members. I was contacted by Kelly of Hiccups and Sunshine about this giveaway hop and thought it was a fabulous idea. What an awesome way to give back to milspouses! 🙂 For those of you who know me well, I’m an appliance junkie. I made a rule for myself when I started Project Give that I wouldn’t give away anything that I wouldn’t want and use myself. So because I love and own this mixer, I am giving away a Cuisinart 5 speed hand mixer. I have a white one that the big bro got me.

If I were to buy a hand mixer, this is the one I would buy. It’s super nice and works easily. I’ve made cookies, brownies, cakes, muffins, and etc. with the mixer. It comes in an assortment of colors but you can pick the color you want! 🙂 This giveaway will start on May 9th and last through May 23th. Good luck ladies! 🙂

Here are a few rules:
– YOU MUST BE A MILITARY SPOUSE (i.e. there should be some indication on your blog that you are one)
– must be an active blogger (at least 2 post per month which means you must have a blog)
– must be a U.S. resident as this giveaway only ships within the U.S.

The winner will be announced via my blog on May 25th, Sunday at 8pm. Don’t forget to hop on over to Kelly’s blog and check out all the other bloggers participating in this giveaway! 🙂

Project Give: May Giveaway

I love putting together giveaways. Giving to others always warms my heart whether it’s something big or something small. When I put together Project Give, I had no idea how far it would go. I’m in awe of the relentlessness and character that military spouses show everyday . Way back in September 2013, I started this project and Heather of Life of a Traveling Navy Wife offered to sponsor a giveaway. She sponsored the first giveaway in November! After that there have been numerous sponsors by military spouses like Kara of Ramblings of a Marine Wife and Katie of Going Coastal With The Plumes. This months giveaway is also sponsored by a military spouse. Elizabeth of The Young Retiree is sponsoring this month’s giveaway! I don’t think she needs an introduction. All the people that I’ve talked to absolutely adore her. I suppose it’s hard to explain unless you’ve met her (which I have) but she writes the way she talks. She’s freakin awesome. That’s pretty much all you need to know! 🙂 Show these amazing ladies some love by checking out their blog. You won’t regret it. Promise!

Fail Sweetly,

Here’s a guest post by Elizabeth:
Road trips can be TONS of fun, and stressful, and overwhelming, coffee fueled, and long… but they’re mostly fun! I know this because my husband and I have driven from California to South Carolina and Virginia, and then back again… twice! Once in 2010 and again just last month! FOUR cross country drives. I like to think of myself as a pro, except there are people who do much more driving than that, so I’ll burst that balloon before my head gets too big!

So anyway, I’m Elizabeth, The Young Retiree, and am so glad to not be sitting in a car, driving through Starbucks, and stopping at the world’s largest ball of twine (which we didn’t see, and I kind of think it would be really awesome! We did stop at the Grand Canyon though and WOW!) Summertime and long weekends are coming up and I can’t urge you enough to gas up your car and hit the open road! Pick somewhere or just get in the car and head in a direction and get out there exploring the world around you!

While I was on the road I picked up some inspiration for you and am so happy to get the chance to share it with you all here! I’ve got some great goodies to give away and can’t wait to send them all to one lucky winner!

First thing’s first: you gotta have an air freshener in your car! Day two we had to stop at a truck stop and pick up one of those glamorous trees to hang from our rear view mirror. To avoid this, you’ll be getting a fun flip flop freshener! Second most important is your Starbucks! The winner will get a $5 gift card to gas up on caffeine before hitting the open road! (This item isn’t featured because I bought it in Alabama and lost it somewhere in Texas… don’t lose it before you get your drink!) Next up is some peach soap from my husband’s home state of South Carolina! You know you don’t want to be using hotel soap! We stopped and had a late lunch/early dinner at The Big Texan and I couldn’t help but pick up a small “travel sized” bottle of hot sauce. Road food can get bland after a while! Finally, two awesome items from the Indian Art Center on the Laguna Reservation in New Mexico! A bracelet and dream catcher, both hand crafted by local tribal artists!

Thanks for taking the time to follow along and enter to win 😀 Good luck!

The giveaway will end next Thursday and the winner will be posted next Sunday at 8pm via my blog. This giveaway is for military spouses only who are active bloggers. This giveaway only ships in the U.S. so you must be a U.S. resident to enter.

Show Elizabeth some love by checking out her sites! 🙂

OC Blogger Brunch

I just got back from the OC Blogger Brunch earlier today. We had the brunch at Great Over Good which is a cute art studio in Santa Ana a few minutes from the John Wayne Airport. The brunch benefits two charities, Working Wardrobes and The Princess Project. Working Wardrobes provides professional clothing to at risk or homeless individuals. The Princess Project provides prom dresses, shoes, and accessories for young girls who would otherwise be unable to attend their prom. This is the first blogger meet up I’ve done and I must say I loved it! It was so awesome to see all these ladies in person after reading their blogs! 🙂 Thank you to Melyssa, Jess, Naadine, Ana, and Megan who helped plan today’s festivities.

The craft that we made and got to take home. It’s pretty much a awesome body scrub. It contains brown sugar, this coconut substance that I can’t name, almond oil, and rose pedals.

It was so fun! I think next time I’ll have to have some business cards to pass out. Overall it was a wonderful experience and there’s going to be an event every month! SoCal Bloggers Giving Back is going to have our next event on March 29th (Saturday) at Great Over Good. This time we’ll be packaging goodies to send to troops overseas. Pizza and wine! I’m so there!! 🙂 Stay tuned for more details.
