Volunteering

The Jordan Farmar Foundation – I volunteered for two days last summer at Jordan’s annual Hoop Farm basketball camp. The camp is located at UCLA in the Pauley Pavillion and it was glorious. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. I still can’t get over how darn polite Jordan is. I met his mother as well as his daughter. His daughter is such an angel. She helped me look for a missing sweater. I loved the atmosphere because this is a camp for kids and the kids had so much fun. The coaches were also pretty awesome.

VA hospital – I’m currently volunteering at a VA hospital and it has kept me humble. Every day I learn something different and the veterans have these awesome stories to share. I love being in their presence because I feel that they will make me a better person and teach me things I wouldn’t learn anywhere else.
